UNIC CityLabs: responding to urban societal challenges
Beyond collaboration between universities, UNIC also aims to promote interaction between these universities and their urban areas through the establishment of a network of CityLabs .
CityLabs aim to bring together civil society actors as well as academic, political, and economic circles to identify the challenges facing their territories and to co-construct solutions. They are intended to become European models of consultation and contribute to the transformation of post-industrial cities.
An additional CityLab will be organized in spring 2026 in the center of Liège, focusing on the following theme: "Unoccupied housing in the district of Liège: identification, characteristics, and mobilization." More information will be available soon on this page.
