Vacant housing in the district of Liège: identification, characteristics, and mobilization
CityLab UNIC - Workshop
Info
Rue de Pitteurs, 18 (2e étage)

UNIC invites you to a participatory workshop on vacant housing in the Liège district. Sometimes presented as an obvious and easy solution to the challenge of affordable housing, their reintegration into the market remains complex. From identifying them to mobilizing them, situations vary and require specific approaches.
This participatory workshop will take place in two parts. The first part of the morning will be devoted to a series of presentations providing a theoretical understanding of the identification, characterization, and mobilization of vacant housing. These will be supplemented by testimonials and practices from the district of Liège. During the second part of the morning, all participants will be able to take part in roundtable discussions. These exchanges will allow participants to share their experiences, identify synergies, and develop best practices adapted to the Liège context.
Program
- Part 1 - Identification, characterization, and mobilization of vacant housing: principles and practices in the district of Liège (Liège, Seraing, Herstal).
- Part 2 - Round tables and feedback: towards a shared understanding of the issue of vacant housing.
Lunch will be served from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (registration required).
