On June 2, 2026, the University of Liège hosted the first Re-Imaginatorium organized by the European UNIC alliance. During the workshop, participants envisioned the future of the city of Liège through the lens of the One Health concept.

O

rganized as part of the Hum'USS (Humanities One Health) Days—a three-day event featuring meetings and co-creation—the workshop invited participants to explore a central question: how can we reimagine the definitions of health and the city based on our collective imagination? The central theme, the One Health concept, linked human health, animal health, and ecosystem health. Far from seeking to predict the future, the approach aimed to explore alternatives and strengthen our resilience in the face of future challenges.

The workshop brought together 60 participants from all walks of life: artists, researchers, and students. Divided into groups, they were tasked with developing creative scenarios to collectively rethink our lifestyles, our institutions, and our ways of collaborating. Based on the Re-Imaginatorium principle, “let’s reinvent the city of tomorrow,” each group developed its own vision of a healthier and more sustainable city.

Building on this experience, the Liège edition will serve as a model for the universities of Deusto and Malmö, which will launch their own initiatives at the start of the academic year.
